How did you get started doing this type of work?

I'm a musician and was seeking a way to better my recording environment. I have a history in fine arts and film photography. My idea was to fund my recording studio by way of doing small video and photography ventures. However, the video inquiries picked up to the point where I couldn't turn away the opportunity.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Most often I photograph (in any setting) patrons with the guarantee of a set amount of pictures unedited as well as a set amount with graphic design elements. This applies to the recording and distribution of music as well

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently, I've been seeking out potential nature areas to help add diversity to my portfolio. I was recently on assignment with a young lady who was prepping for and album release when my equipment (tripod, lightstand, etc.) started to fail me. I carried on and got my hands dirty when necessary to get the right shot. The shoot turned out to be a success.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise you ask for a contract and receipt upon agreement to terms.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Often these things take time. For example, upon the completion of a music video, it usually takes about a week in a half to two weeks of post production. People are sometimes apprehensive when they hear the turnaround date. If I had a wish, it would be that customers would take in to consideration the amount of time and effort necessary for them to get the best product possible.
