Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The typical sitting fee for a one-to-two-hour photoshoot starts at $350, but may vary depending on a number of factors, including wardrobe needs, props, and if there is any additional cost for location (although we own our own in-home studio!) Included in the standard photoshoot package is 3 web-resolution edited images of your choice. We offer full-resolution downloads, additional edits, and prints priced separately.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We love getting to know you first and foremost. It is our goal to make sure that you are both comfortable shooting, but also that we fully understand your intended outcome. If you're making this a gift for someone else, let us know! If you are less comfortable with certain things, feel free to speak up! We want to hear what's important to you, so that you can fully feel comfortable and happy with the results.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We have been mentored by some of the best glamour and boudoir photographers in the business but are also primarily self-taught! We have been practicing our craft for 8+ years and are very proud of the creativity and ingenuity we have been able to mold into our own particular style, so that when you work with us, you're getting an end result that's unique, and you won't find anywhere else.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Matthew started photography when he was a teenager, but an accident cut short his ambition to undertake professional photography (don't worry, he wasn't hurt!). Then, later as an adult, he picked it back up and is quite pleased to share with the world his vision as a photographer. Strengthened by his now-wife, the two have made themselves into a formidable duo that embraces natural beauty and are on a mission to help women feel empowered through taking photos of themselves they will be proud of.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All kinds. Whether it's been clients with a very specific vision in mind, or no predeterminations, I like to help all clients achieve great images for their memories. I do not discriminate based on any qualifications - I just want to make your day memorable and have no preconceptions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We are always looking to create new bodies of work. One of our recent shoots was an artistic style shot with multiple models in a pool filled with water beads. We were proud to showcase this at an art exhibit in the DFW area recently and one of our images even won Merit at the annual Professional Photographers Association competition!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Come to the photographer with ideas. It's good to know what you want before you start looking for it. A good photographer also usually can't be rushed. Photography is more than just taking the pictures right there on the spot - it's several hours of post-editing, so it's good to allow some time in the days that follow, just to make sure you get the best quality pictures.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are there any additional costs I should be aware of? Is there a better time for my photos, due to light? There's so much detail that goes into good photography, it's best to talk it out with a photographer or two before setting on just one.
