Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Each project is priced individually. Prices are a combination of the number of images photographed, whether the shoot is on location or in the studio and the time it will take to complete the project. Each project is different and there are usually post production needs that we factor in to the estimate such as retouching and special requirements for how the images are going to be used. We shoot large and small jobs and cater our estimates to the exact needs of each Client.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our typical process is to have a phone conversation first and establish what the Clients exact needs are for the project and their budget. We then go to work finding the best and most economical way to provide great images that meet and exceed the requirements for our Clients. We then provide detailed estimates and timelines in order to start the production. We shoot in our studio, located in Los Angeles, California : Clients come to the studio and art direct the shoot as each image is viewed and approved on large monitors. We can also go on location to your business : When the product is too big or needs to be shot on location, we can bring the studio to you. And we shoot for many clients remotely : We routinely do this with Clients outside the immediate area. After understanding the job through phone conversations, the product is shipped to us at our studio, while we shoot, we send hero images for the client to approve by email. When everything is done, we ship back the product and electronically deliver the final images.

unfold fold

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types from large companies like Microsoft to small start-ups you may not recognize. We like the diversity of the companies we help and making their product look the best it can!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We recently completed a job for a major medical company. The products and medical devices they needed photographed were very challenging and there were hundreds of them. Through good planning and pre-production testing, we shot for over a month and delivered images that made everyone very happy, and were delievered on time and on budget.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
In todays economy and market place it is very easy to find a lot of vendors who will bid jobs extremely low in order to get the work. But I would caution customers to look at the quality of their work and their past clients and what they actually are delivering as final product. I have Clients tell me all the time that their last shoot before coming to us was done trying to save money and turned into a bad situation that did not work out. We always try to save our customers money, and provide a competitive bid, but we are realistic about what it takes to generate professional photography at a high level. We shoot with the highest resolution digital backs available that produce large files with fine detail that allow the images to be used at any size and for any purpose. Clients sometimes do not understand that even though the photos are often going on the web, there is still a huge difference in the quality produced, depending on how the image was photographed and how large the files were to start with. There is a wide range of how good a product can look even on the web, as evident when you look at some of the higher end companies. That is what we strive for and deliver! Whatever your product is....from a computer to a toaster to a widget.... it is a fast paced world and an environment where the customer sees the image and quickly responds or moves on. The images your customers view are everything and we want them to be everything they can be and look amazing!
