Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
When I send a price/ quote it’s 99% not going to change, unless the client states extra add ons for things like adding people, animals or any edit requests for photos (ex. Removing tattoos). If this happens I do let them know the adjusted price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Simple and easy. Communication is important. I get everything they need and what they are looking for and let them know what I can or can’t do, what I offer and have a simple contract where it reiterates what was discussed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I worked for a school photography company taking photos and posing seniors and well as their family members. I also helped my local friends who are photographers with equipment and posing. I am also apart of the tech team at my church where I run the cameras for live services.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I had a mentor in high school and during a church trip she lent me her camera. We looked over the photos and she told me I had a good eye and that I should pursue photography.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Couples, families, individuals, churches, organizations, friends and family and growing!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I did my first ever wedding event. It was beautiful and intimate. I was so blessed to be able to capture those beautiful memories at the beach.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It’s ok to do research in your area and when you find the photographer that’s willing to listen and work with you pay the partial payment. It’s being considerate to pay that photographer so that they can not only of course pay their bills but to make sure that the day and time agreed upon is reserved for you and that they don’t accidentally double book with another potential client.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
After going over all that is asked of the photographer for photos asking about total price is important. Some time people can feel blind sided by cost that’s changed further down the conversation.
