What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is transparent and tailored to your project needs. For photography, packages start at $300 for a 2-hour session, with add-ons available. Travel is charged at $0.75/mile outside of a 20-mile radius from Whitman, MA. Wedding packages start around $2,000, with flexible payment plans and discounts for weekday or off-season bookings.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a quick discovery call or message to understand your goals, vision, and timeline. From there, I offer a custom proposal or suggest a package. Once we confirm the date with a deposit, I guide you through the creative prep, handle the shoot with care, and deliver your edited photos or video on time, with space for feedback.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve trained through hands-on experience with WHCA TV producing scripted interviews and documentaries. I also constantly self-educate on tools like DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and drone operation to stay current and creative in my field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started by shooting photos of cities and nature for fun, which led me into street photography. Over time, my passion turned into a profession—first through community media, and then launching Shutter Media Works to serve couples, creatives, and businesses with storytelling that’s real and resonant.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with couples, small businesses, nonprofits, schools, restaurants, and creatives. Clients range from wedding and event clients to corporate teams needing headshots or branded video content. I adjust my approach to fit your style, purpose, and audience.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my favorite projects was a short film called No Words Between Us. It was shot in one day and edited over several months. The story was deeply personal, and I handled everything from directing to editing. It reminded me why I love this craft—telling human stories visually.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Think about your goals, who your audience is, what your budget looks like, and your timeline. Also consider what style you like—examples help a lot. Knowing how you’ll use the content (social media, website, prints) helps us deliver exactly what you need.
