Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
• My base rate for any job starts at $250 and includes editing. • I understand many people have to work with a budget, I am willing to reasonably accommodate the price to your budget. • Services start at the base price but can change based on: - Travel distance - The amount of equipment and time (time spent filming and editing) required to provide you the services you want. - How many fully edited photos (removing flyaway hairs, blemishes, teeth whitening) are desired. • All photo packages come with base edits for exposure, color, and composition.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
• I discuss what you want and what I can provide. After figuring out what you want we discuss the price. • All new clients must review and sign a letter of agreement once we figure out a price. This agreement states the services being provided to you and the price/terms we agreed upon for the work. •Once we agree on the price I will send you an estimate to lock in the date and agreed upon price. • A 50% deposit is required to book the date with the remaining balance due at the end of filming. •Then we shoot and you receive the edited photos via online download in 1-2 days pending my schedule and scope of the work.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I studied film and television at The University of Tampa from 2011-2015. After graduating college I started filming sports, weddings, events, and narrative films. With over five years of professional photography and videography experience, I can confidently and promptly provide whatever photo or video you need.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always loved taking photos and filming, I also love getting the best photo/video gear. To me cameras are tools as well as toys, so I jumped at the chance to do something that can be profitable as well as what I love. After working with other people and gaining valuable experience as well as money to invest in myself, I set off to be my own boss and provide my services directly to clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with friends, strangers, and local business owners. My ideal customer is someone who knows what they want and respects the technical and artistic field of photography. Constructive feedback and communication is vital to getting you what you want.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
My favorite project so far has been with my favorite local establishment Bourbon & Brews in Merrick, NY. In addition to the money I spend there, I wanted to help the business grow. So I offered my services to the owner and after a visual pitch he was interested in my work. The shoot went great and he was more than happy with my work. I am so proud I could help market a place I love!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Know what you want so that they can help you get it and give you the best price. When you hire a photographer you are paying for their time and skill. Make sure their visual style is what you are going for.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What type of work are you looking for? How fast do you want the work turned around? How long do you want to take photos for? When and where will the work take place.
