What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I’m very transparent, I work by the hour opposed to a flat fee. If I over estimate my time, I only bill for the actual time worked. I will also provide you with a detailed breakdown of time worked using a clock- punch application. I don’t markup materials, you pay what I pay.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Often times we can provide an estimate based on your photos. We will however, happily come to you for a detailed inspection and estimate.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a strong belief I can teach myself just about anything within my intellect. I’m a consumer too, your experience and the knowledge I gain from these endeavors are what keeps me going!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We realized homeowners often have a difficult time finding skilled tradesmen to complete smaller projects. Our ideal job is 1-3 days of work. We offer everything from basic service calls to room remodels and we’ll happily work with your insurance company.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My ideal customer is someone looking for transparency and has a small, or several small projects.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We really enjoyed a recent Powder Room renovation where we installed wainscoting with a classic craftsman appeal. Taking the time to make all the joints look seamless was really satisfying, the customer was also very happy

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Read reviews and read the replies to better gauge who you’re working with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

When do you need your project completed? Generally speaking, prepare for a 2 week-30 day completion. Pictures are so helpful. Even if you attach them to your project, I may ask for them. Don’t assume Thumbtack passes along the details of your project. If I’m asking for something you’ve already stated, please be patient.
