Get a few different bids go with the most straight forward one that is a little ruff around the edges stay away from the pretty boy polo wearing salesman no real tradesman is that pretty boy YouTuber you love we work hard jobs which usually takes the ability to bs with you and try to give you a sales pitch if he has soft hands and a fast tongue leave him alone he’s can’t swing a hammer.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
All the details they can think of colors trim materials they want to use time frame want it done in and budget and just be aware the budget and timeframe almost always change once you can come to terms with that you’ll sleep much easier at night shit happens on construction jobs not everything is foreseeable.
