Heartwood Build & Design is a boutique General Contractor and has been in the construction industry for seven years. We continue to strive to deliver an uncompromising quality and craftsmanship that has helped cement our reputation in the industry. We have worked on a variety of projects from new construction remodels, additions, decks, basement re-finishing, full scale interior and exterior renovations, bespoke custom furnishings, interior refreshes, kitchens, bathrooms, interior design, 4-plex design. Heartwood is a private woman owned company, owned and managed by designer Sheree Ramm. We serve the primarily the Cedar Rapids, Marion and Hiawatha areas but will take on projects in Iowa City and Coralville depending on the project. Our focus is quality. We do not cut corners. Some of our competitors are cheaper, but we will take the time to make sure you are 100% happy. If you are looking for a cheap contractor we are not for you.

I have more than a decade of experience across a broad spectrum of custom furniture and cabinetry work, and am known for exemplary dedication to quality and attention to detail, as well as my organizational and communications skills. I do custom woodworking of all kinds, as well as furniture repair and restoration. I also do kitchen cabinet repair and refinishing, and will take on the occasional remodel for the right client.
