Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We price our projects to make sure the materials we use are top quality, and our installers trained to install do so to manufacturers specifications. Our pricing is largely derived from the local market.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Within a week of reaching out to ERS, we will have one of our reps out to a home for an initial inspection. During the inspection we collect measurements, photos and review various options on their remodeling project. If it is something simple, we email a quote over the same day. On larger projects we schedule a second appointment to review scope of work, materials, and answer any last minute questions. Typical appointments last approximately 45 minutes.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
We are fully certified to install Certainteed and Velux products. All of our reps spend several hours each week in the field for training. We encourage an environment of growth and continued education. Adapting with innovations in the construction industry is one of our key to success.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After leaving the military, I found myself working as a ladder assistant. Climbing and inspecting roofs became my everyday routine. That career led me to the residential construction space and we have never looked back since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We have worked with both homeowners as well as property managers, commercial projects and a wide variety of residential projects.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We are very proud of a deck rebuild that we recently completed. We came out in the beginning of December, had materials on the ground within ten days, and the project completed in under a week. On top of the deck we assembled a prefabricated gazebo as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Work with someone who you are comfortable with, and someone who respects your buying process. It is very important to make sure your contractor has the necessary insurances, licensing and experience. Reviews and references speak volume on a company’s style of business. At ERS we pride ourselves on a customer centric experience. Please ask about our referrals/reviews from past clients!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
One thing that is often overlooked is future resell, and permitting. Asking questions about how a permit will affect the timeline is very important. Sharing any plans of moving is important as well. We recommend different materials/sizes based on a homeowner's needs. It is important to let your contractor know if you have any plans of selling/renting. Different living situations call for different remedies. It is so important to know there are no "dumb" questions when working with an ERS rep. We pride ourselves on collaboration, happy to explain any and all details. Thank you very much for taking the time to learn a bit about our team.
