What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Quotes are always free, if you have ideas from pictures or Pinterest, I can photoshop them to your space to give you an idea of what it would look like. We have very competitive pricing and can offer turnkey solutions from fabrication to paint. A one stop solution to your project!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin by asking you to share a few photos of your current space, along with any inspiration images you're drawn to- whether that's from Pinterest, Instagram, magazines etc. This helps us get a sense of your style, preferences, and vision you have for your home. Next, we will schedule an initial consultation.
During the visit we will take detailed measurements of your space and have an in depth conversation about your needs, ideas, and how you want your cabinetry to function. We'll also discuss potential paint colors, finishes, and storage solutions tailored specifically for your lifestyle.
After our consultation, I'll create a custom sketch and design for your project. Once you've had a chance to review it, we will refine the design and make any changes necessary until it's exactly what you're looking for. Once the design is finalized, we'll provide you with a quote outlining the exact cost and a clear timeline.
When you're ready to move forward, we'll request a down payment to secure your spot on our schedule. From there we'll begin crafting our custom cabinetry in house. I will be sending your progress pics as we build your vision. When your cabinets are ready, we'll finalize and confirm the install date!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Business Administration, which has been invaluable in running and managing our companies. Over the past 8 years we've poured ourselves into learning every aspect of the trade.
Much of our skill has come from being self-taught, problem solving on real projects and constantly pushing ourselves to improve and create higher quality work.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We started our journey about 9 years ago after graduating from college, we knew we wanted to build and work with our hands. We began by constructing spec homes in Fort Worth, TX.
As we grew in our craft, we discovered a passion for cabinetry and millwork. We noticed that many cabinet options available on the market were mass-produced, lacked character, and came with long lead times. We felt there was a gap for homeowners who wanted truly personalized service and one of a kind cabinetry that didn't look like the standard builder-grade or overseas manufactured pieces you see everywhere.
So, alongside continuing to build spec homes, we dove into mastering custom cabinetry. Our goal has always been to create spaces and pieces that are unique to each home and family- sometimes designs that might not even exist yet on Pinterest or Instagram. We love helping homeowners bring their vision to life and crafting cabinetry that's not only beautiful enough for a magazine but also perfectly tailored to everyday living.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We've had the privilege of working with all kinds of customers across the entire metroplex. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, ages, and budgets and their projects have ranged from remodels of older homes to brand new builds.
At the end of the day our goal is the same for every customer: to deliver exceptional craftsmanship, personalized service, and a finished product that you're proud to have in your home.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of the projects I'm especially proud of is our recently completed 3rd spec home in Parker County. This home was a true labor of love and a showcase of what our team can do.
We poured our hearts into every detail, painted every surface, crafted all the cabinetry, millwork and woodwork completely in house. Building all the cabinetry took about 6 weeks, this included a spacious laundry room, large mudroom, oversized 3 wall kitchen with island, fireplace built-ins, custom pantry, closets, home office library builtins.
This project stands out to me because it truly allowed me to express my creativity and passion for high quality woodwork and cabinets. It's always rewarding to see how thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship can transform a space into something truly special.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire someone that is passionate and gives you more value and isn't all about the money. Someone who has great morals and puts service above monetary gain.
It's also essential to choose someone who is detail-oriented. In custom cabinetry, the small details make all the difference in both the look and the longevity of your finished project.
Equally important is to make sure you're talking directly with the person who will actually be building your cabinets, rather than only through a third party or general contractor. Having that direct connection allows you to get a sense of their character, skill level, and dedication to quality.
Investing in cabinetry is a significant decision, and working with the right professional will make the entire process smoother, enjoyable, ultimately more rewarding.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Do you have a clear vision for what you're wanting?
What is on your "must-have" list and what is on your "wish list"?
What timeline would you like for us to work with?
Do you prefer certain materials or finishes?
What are your wood stain color preferences (light colors such as white oak, dark, or medium tones)?
Do you have existing appliances or fixtures that need to be accommodated?
Have you thought about paint colors?
Do you need specialty storage ideas such as printer drawer, file cabinets, wine refrigerator, baking tray drawer etc. ?
