Introduction

We've been building custom cabinetry and furniture for Rowen Works for over four years. We love making your dreams come to life in your home, and can work with budgets big and small. Your cabinets will be designed and built from start to finish right here in Sandy, using precision CNC machining and top quality materials throughout. We do kitchens, built-ins in any area of your home, and custom furniture. The most important thing at Rowen Works is that you're happy with what we build for you, and we'll do all we can to ensure that outcome.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first thing we like to do is get a sense of the scope and size of your project. We'll make a rendering and send over a bid, and then go back and forth to finalize the design. Next, we'll come out to do final measurements before getting started with building. After everything is squared away, we'll get to work and keep you updated on timeline as we go, and let you know when we're ready to install.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Dan studied industrial design in school, which pertains to product design and manufacture.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
The company grew from Dan's love of furniture design and building, and what started as a personal project quickly grew to build things for others who wanted something they couldn't find in stores.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Most of the work we do is in residences, and we're happy to do any sort of cabinetry or furniture work that fits in your home. We have done some commercial work, as well as worked with architects, and would love to do so more in the future.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We're currently in progress on a couple of kitchens, which are some of our favorite projects. A medium-sized kitchen takes us a couple of weeks to build and install, as we make every part of the kitchen in our shop, cabinets, doors, drawers, and all.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for someone who cares about the quality of materials and finish, who understands what you want, and whose main priority is to make something you're happy with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
- What style you want your new cabinetry or furniture to have - What sorts of finishes and colors you want - The materials that will be used. Insist on materials that will last, not on what's cheapest. There are great materials that won't break the bank - The function of the piece, whether that's pull-out drawers or a dining table that's easy to take apart for a move - Timeline -- when can you expect to see the completed work in your home?
