What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge a flat $85/hour with a $150 minimum for all jobs. I also offer flat-rate pricing for common tasks like TV mounting or appliance installs to keep things simple. First-time clients may qualify for $20-$50 off their first project.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I start with a quick message or call to understand the job and expectations. Once we confirm details, I schedule a time that works for you, show up on time, and complete the work cleanly and efficiently. I always leave the space better than I found it.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I’ve spent many years working in residential maintenance and construction, handling everything from appliance installs, electrical work, to furniture builds, and woodworking. I’ve also worked as a supervisor for a property maintenance team.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

It started with my first ever full-time job when I was 18 years old as a maintenance technician and me fixing and building things for my own home, then for friends and family. I’ve always loved problem-solving with my hands. Eventually, I realized I could offer a high-quality, honest handyman service that people could really rely on.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Homeowners, renters, property managers, and even small businesses. I’ve worked with everyone from newlyweds furnishing their first place to seniors needing safer lighting and smarter storage. I focus on being respectful, adaptable, and communicative.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently built a custom floating canopy bed with LED under-glow lighting, designed, built, stained, and assembled from scratch. It took about 10 hours plus drying time and turned out beautifully. One of my favorite pieces to date.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire someone who communicates clearly, shows up when they say they will, and doesn't cut corners. Cheap work ends up costing more in the long run. Look for someone who treats your home with the same care they'd treat their own.
