Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When working with a new customer, I always document everything that happens between the time a client hires my company to when a project actually begins. I assign roles and responsibilities and review the entire process with my staff. I also start immediately on the specific job and I never leave a client without any communication. Early and frequent communication is critical in this industry. In addition, I create Welcome Packets that outline my services and prices. This allows the prospective customer to build trust in my brand.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Keith's Carpet Care and More strives to maintain all designations in the Commercial/Residential industries. These certifications enhance customer confidence by certifying that an independent assessor has evaluated a company's practices and determined that they have demonstrated their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Making the decision to start in the Commercial/Residential Cleaning industry was a simple one. This industry doesn’t ride the boom that other markets might and whether the state of the economy is good or bad, businesses and corporations always want to maintain a professional, clean, and safe environment for their employees. Commercial cleaning offers a steady market with consistent demand and I was able to implement a passion that I enjoy into a business.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently, I completed a project on a five-bedroom home. The client was initially skeptical of the process because several cleaning companies had previously attempted to complete this hard-to-finish job in her home. After two hours of dedication, my team and I were able to remove the stains on the carpeting in the home. My client was essentially elated with the results of the project. At Keith's Carpet Care and More, we are professional, proven and proud to have delivered quality commercial/residential cleaning and janitorial services to our clients throughout the Houston area. Our value proposition is to provide clients with the cleanest of clean, at a competitive rate.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would tell a customer that is seeking to hire a provider in my industry to always inquire as to what level of service is offered from each company. Determine if your needs can be customized, or if they offer packaged services. Cleaning companies offer a variety of options, yet none are right or wrong. It is imperative that the customer finds what suits their needs or lifestyle.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers should think through some of the following questions, before securing professionals for their projects: How will the customer provide your company with access to their home? What services are included in the project? What add-on services are available and how does the customer request them? What tools will a company use and what, if anything, should the customer provide? What is your pet policy? How will you communicate with them and how often? How should they communicate changes with you? What is the procedure for making payment and/or giving tips? Are you covered by insurance? How are your workers screened?
