Introduction

⚠️NO FREE QUOTES⚠️ I get charged for every message sent to me. Please only reach out if you’re seriously interested in booking with me. My name is Seth Tompkins. I’m a local to the central Virginia area. My grandpa trained his two sons to install flooring and carpet. The two sons (one of which my dad) have installed carpet for 40+ years. I have branched out and expanded into cleaning. I use a portable entry level cleaning unit. It’s a low moisture unit which means it’s way better for the longevity of your carpet. The more modern chain cleaners who I will not name typically use a steam based system that blasts your carpet which may clean it and get lots of stains out… but it ruins the backing and adhesive. Cleaning like that shouldn’t be done often if at all. My cleaning services are dedicated to keeping your carpets clean and long lasting. Excessively soiled carpets will greatly decrease the lifespan of carpet. With my services done to your carpet every 1-2 years as regular maintenance its life span will be maximized! ⚠️I DO NOT OFFER FREE QUOTES OR ESTIMATES⚠️ please do not message me for free quotes serious inquiries only. Thumbtack charges pros as soon as a customer messages. A few extra things to note. Due to high lead prices and distance in which I usually work I have a $100 minimum Job limit. So I will do at least $100 dollars worth of work for you. I also have started to implement a small cancellation fee of $30 This is again due to high lead prices and to protect myself against “ghosting” customers.

Q&A

unfold fold
I charge by the sqft. Based on how the carpet looks and what chemical I use I adjust.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I always reach out to your phone number and text you. Just too establish an easier basis to communicate

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have on Job experience working with my father and in some volunteer work I do

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
2023 I went off on my own to start a business. And past experience in carpet and some experience in cleaning led me to do cleaning professionally

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with all types of clients. Residential and commercial.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I did 6 rugs for an event. It took me about 2 and half hours. It was about 1,100 sqft of Rug

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I recommend getting a true carpet cleaning expert not just some commercial giant that doesn’t really help the carpet last.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Really they shouldn’t consult unless they’re serious. On thumbtack specifically the instant you hit send to talk to an expert you’ve just charged them money. So only reach out if you’re ready to have the job done.
