Introduction

At Sleep Easy Chimney, we do not use a bait-and-switch technique to lure customers; we tell you the price upfront. My staff has been with me for over thirteen years, and they are highly trained and courteous. We are also now paperless. This means everything is done through email, allowing for fewer mistakes and a better understanding of the quote. We can also attach before-and-after pictures to show you the results of our services. I enjoyed very much seeing the end result of something that was not in good condition, made to look new again. Especially in the chimney business and dryer vent business, there are very serious hidden dangers. If the systems are not cleaned regularly, it puts the entire home in danger. We take the safety of our customers very seriously. It is very satisfying to know that you helped a family breathe easier.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We do have standard pricing for most of our services, such as chimney inspections, chimney cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and air duct cleaning. There are many variables in the types of repairs and services we provide, contact us for an estimate to receive an exact quote.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We provided trained office personnel that are very familiar with our services and understand the businesses that we are involved in well. They are able to answer most any question right then and there or can direct you to one of our certified technicians. Appointments can be scheduled immediately over the phone or online.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Glen Simmons, the owner of Sleep Easy, is a CSIA certified professional with over 15 years of experience. We frequently go to conventions and take classes to keep up-to-date on all of the services that we provide from dryer vents and air duct cleaning to the chimney services.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was helping a friend out one day as his side business and thought it was a wonderful way to be able to interact with people and provide for my family. From there, we added the dryer vent and air duct cleaning and have grown the business in enormous ways.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work mostly with residential customers, but have also done some very large commercial work.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

One project that I am especially fond of is my fireplace and pizza oven that I built in my own backyard. These are very specific designed to allow for heat output as far as the fireplace in cooking fabulous pizzas in a traditional masonry structure that can reach temperatures of 1000°. Total worktime 2 to 3 weeks.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

As far as the chimney business goes we always highly recommend hiring a CSIA certified professional the same is true with the dryer vents. Air duct cleaning is a little different you don't necessarily need to be certified just well-trained and honest.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The Internet is a wonderful addition to the service industry. Customers should really look at reviews of the potential contractors. Also any certifications that the company may have in their field of expertise. Pictures of work that has been done in the past by the company a very beneficial also I can generally be seen on their website. Friends and family recommendations are always good.
