What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have set prices for certain standard services, and do custom quotes for repairs or larger jobs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

They call me and we book an appointment as soon as possible. I usually fix the issue on the first visit, though there are times when an inspection and quote are necessary, with the repairs booked at a later date. I can sometimes diagnose what needs to be done over the phone, especially with the ability to text photos of the issue.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been working with chimneys since 2003, and I've seen it all.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I graduated from art school, and started working with chimneys when I realized that art wasn't exactly paying the bills. But hey, I still get to use brushes!!

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types! After 13 years in Austin and thousands of chimneys, I feel like every kind of customer has crossed my path.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I like to make a chimney and/or fireplace beautiful and functional again. I'm always happy to get it done quickly for my clients.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

They should know their schedule and budget for the project. It always helps if the clients have an idea of what is wrong, but I'm happy to go to their home to help figure it out. Whether it's a simple cleaning or a huge repair, I can get it fixed!
