Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We charge by volume, basically you are charged by how much space your junk fills in our trucks and trailers. For extremely heavy items, hard to dispose of items and labor intensive jobs there would be separate fees.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After the customer calls or emails in, we find out what they have that needs to go. For smaller jobs we can give a pretty accurate price over the phone/email. For larger jobs we like to schedule an on-site visit to give a more accurate quote on the project and to know what we need for trucks, trailers and team members. Once the appointment is set up, the customer will receive a confirmation call when the crew is en route. Once the crew arrives all the customer needs to do is sit back, relax and watch their junk disappear.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Knowing what items need to be recycled, ability to lift 20 pounds consistently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I owned a landscape company right out of high school but kept being asked to use my trailer to haul stuff away. I found more enjoyment doing something different every day and in 2004 decided to make this a full time gig.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Home owners, renters, commercial business owners, land lords

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A large house clean out is always the most enjoyable. Having a crew of 8-10 employees on one job all day working as a team brings a great deal of satisfaction.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure they’re insured and have a website. Check over some of their reviews and see how long they’ve been in business.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should know what items they have that are being removed, and a rough idea of the volume of their material (how many pick up truck loads).
