Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are committed to keeping our pricing fair, affordable and as competitive as possible. We will gladly give you a free quote for your project, and will help you work around your budget to get the jobs you need done.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Our typical process includes first quoting the general project via email, phone or text. We will then come to your home or place where the work needs to be done and evaluate the project in-person. We will agree upon a price, typically the same as the initial quote, then get to work! We guarantee that our work will be done efficiently and to your satisfaction!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I worked as a General Contractor in Europe for 20 years, running my own construction company and building and renovating hundreds of homes and businesses. I have been living in the United States for the last five years, also working in construction.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started working in construction at a young age and continued to grow and advance in the companies I worked for as I expanded my knowledge and experience. After many years working in construction, I took classes and studied to become a General Contractor in Europe - and soon owned my own construction business that I managed for over a decade!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Currently, we typically work with customers interested in renovating or remodeling their homes or homeowners trying to cross off items on their home improvement to-do list. We have also worked in with customers constructing their homes from the ground up and business owners building their offices and business establishments.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite recent projects was laying mosaic tile, this particular project tiling a large hot tub and walls at a club gym took me about a week to do. The small tile came together to form a beautiful artistic piece - I loved seeing the final result of my hard work and how happy and satisfied the client was with the job when it was finished. (See the pictures in my portfolio to see my tile job!)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would advise a customer looking to hire a pro to compare experience, quality of work, efficiency and price. At Skala Renovations we offer the best of all of these qualities!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What projects do I need done around my home? What is my budget? What are my project priorities? (time, duration of project, budget, quality of materials, quality of work)
