Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Competitive Rates: Our pricing is aligned with industry standards and reflects the high quality of work we provide. We offer detailed estimates upfront, so you’ll know exactly what to expect—no hidden fees or surprises. Discounts: We value loyalty and trust, which is why we offer discounts for repeat customers and referrals as a way to say thank you. Value-Driven Pricing: While we may not always be the cheapest option, our rates account for the use of high-quality materials and skilled labor. This ensures your project is completed to a high standard, saving you time and money on repairs or redo’s down the line. Flexible Payment Options: To make things easier on your budget, we provide flexible payment plans, including progress payments for larger projects.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Initial Consultation: We begin by meeting with you to thoroughly understand your needs, vision, and budget. This involves a detailed discussion about the project scope, timelines, and any specific requirements you may have. We’ll listen carefully, ask questions to clarify your goals, and explain our approach to set clear expectations upfront, ensuring we’re on the same page from the start. Project Planning: Once we’ve defined the scope, develop a plan that outlines timelines, materials, and costs. You’ll receive a written estimate and contract to ensure transparency and avoid misunderstandings. During this phase, we can also identify any potential challenges and discuss how I’ll address them, so there are no surprises down the road. Execution: As the project gets underway, we keep you informed with regular updates on progress and any adjustments that arise. All work is completed to code and meets the highest quality standards, with a strong emphasis on safety and craftsmanship. Our goal is to bring your vision to life while keeping the process as seamless as possible. Post-Project Follow-Up: After the work is done, we conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure you’re completely satisfied with the results. We provide warranties or guarantees on our work and remain available for any future questions or support you might need.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Certified expert in home inspection, insulation, lead-safe painting, and operating lifts and booms. I've supervised crews for 30 plus years in the construction industry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My construction career started in 1983 after relocating from Bellingham, WA, to Southern California. There, I worked on diverse projects, including commercial tilt-ups, high rises, custom homes, and large residential developments with up to 5,000 homes per tract. After five years, I advanced to foreman, managing a crew of 35-42 workers across Southern California’s four counties. In 1993, I returned to Bellingham, WA, and shifted to painting the interior/exterior of apts/houses. In 2004 founded my own specialty contracting company, focusing on insulation and painting. The business grew rapidly, securing contracts with the City of Bellingham and various property management companies. By 2008, I became a Home Depot vendor and restructured my company as an LLC. In 2019, I expanded into general construction and carpentry—building decks, fences, pole buildings, and completing home remodels—to meet client demand. My dedication to high-quality work has built a strong reputation, allowing me to rely entirely on word-of-mouth referrals without advertising.

What types of customers have you worked with?
