Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We have a minimum job fee of $595.00. We offer discounts for Military, first responders, teachers, and senior citizens.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We will schedule a time to give you an onsite evaluation and estimate at the same time. Upon acceptance of the estimate we will schedule the work to be completed by our crew of professional craftsmen. Typically we can schedule an estimate within 24 hours.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a graduate of TCU and the Neely school of business. I took classes in geology, which at the time I never thought would be of great use, but turns out to be extremely useful for identifying materials as well as understanding what chemicals react with what stone and what is safe to use.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I got started in 2016 as my family decided to buy this franchise from the original owner, as he was retiring. We bought the business to be an add on to our janitorial company and also as a diversification strategy.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We work with anyone. There is no job too small or too large.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
We have worked for countless high net worth and high profile individuals over the years, but due to non-discolsures we are not allowed to comment publicly on those. We have also completed many commercial jobs. We have worked in nearly every building at TCU refinishing their terrazzo and concrete floors, in January of 2025 we refinished a brand new staircase at SMU's Cox school of business and we are the preferred marble polishing company at the Federal Reserve Bank in downtown Dallas, to name a few commercial contracts.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The most important thing for a customer to know is what type of material they have. Knowing the type of material you have is very important for a lot of reasons, but mainly it will help you understand what can and cannot be done to that surface. It will also help a contractor if you are able to tell them what type of material you have as that will ultimately determine what services they can provide for you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. Most importantly is what do you expect to pay for any given service. Ever since covid the costs that contractors have had to incure have increase significantly, everything from labor rates, materials, insurance, etc. Many individuals are shocked at pricing that contractors are providing and it is important to get multiple quotes to make sure you are getting a competetive price. 2. Another important issue is making sure you vet any company, ensuring they are insured and bonded, but also asking questions about their employment practices, such as do they use W2 employees or do they subcontract the work that is going to be completed. We only use W2 employees! 3. How much experience does a service provider have with any certain job you are looking at is a crucial question. We have been in business for almost 30 years and have completed tens of thousands of residential jobs in that time! 4. How will the service provider handle any disputes that may arise. Despite our best effort, issues do arise from time to time, make sure you ask contractors how they will handle issues in the event that something were to occur. At Marblelife we are big believers in the Golden Rule and I always tell my customers that I will treat them the same way I would expect anyone that was coming to do work at my own house. First and foremost we believe in Honesty and Integrity with everything we do.
