What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer 8% Military Discounts (Immediate Family) and 5% Teacher Discounts (Immediate Family).

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First we ask for the expected timeline. We then ask for pictures of the existing space that the project is focusing on. Then we ask for all the features and options that our prospective client would like included - we also offer suggestions if asked. We then provide an emailed formal estimate within 24 hours or less.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

With a combined 20 years and a Virginia Home Improvement Contractor License we are up to date on the items related to countertop installation.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Necessity, curiosity, and a passion to work with my hands. This is a heavy-duty industry that challenges us everyday to be better than yesterday.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We focus primarily on homeowners directly. Over our time in business we have grown to be the exclusive granite fabricator and installer for custom home builders, boutique kitchen and bath remodelers, Licensed Interior Decorators, Large Kitchen and Bath showrooms, as well as many small remodel contractors.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We completed the fabrication and installation of all of the countertops in the Lake Anna Veterinary Hospital that opened in the summer of 2021. It had many custom features not typically found in a hospital setting and it really made the project fun to be a part of! It took us about 2 weeks to produce and install the 1,000 SF of countertop surfaces.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Responsiveness. The provider should not be so busy they cannot respond within a couple of hours. If they cannot respond quickly now how can they respond quickly later if there’s a problem that needs to be solved fast?! Complete and transparent pricing - it should be broken down so you know exactly what details are or are not included. Proper license and insurance. All countertop installation companies must have a VA contractors license and general liability insurances. Positive Social Proof - they should have good ratings with previous clients. Read the reviews thoroughly!

The biggest 3 items that we believe a customer should think through before talking to a stone counter pro are: 1) what material will be best for the area you are having it installed in (granite, quartz, marble?), 2) what material will be best for your lifestyle (granite, quartz, marble?), 3) what material will be best for the aesthetic that is desired (granite, quartz, marble?).
