Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Every business I work with has different needs. So I don’t offer a “one size fits all” price to my clients. The price I offer is based solely on the needs that my clients have. You will always know the price you will be paying, since I provide a monthly rate instead of charging hourly. I offer free consultations though, so that you and I can determine if we would work well together.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Usually I start off with a free consultation to determine their needs. After we have agreed to work with each other I will send over my Bookkeeping Agreement as well as a questionnaire about their company and needs. From there I will get started with reviewing their books as is, making suggestions and giving advice on how they can take advantage of their accounting software.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am currently two years into getting my Bachelors degree in Business Management and Accounting. Besides my formal education I have also worked with a few accounting firms and have taken courses related to the accounting software I use to become a certified advisor.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
A family member needed my assistance with her accounting firm while she was pregnant. I really enjoyed it and felt like it was my calling.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Painters, Plumbers, Fabrication/Welding , HVAC, Fitness Studio, Pet Supplies Retail, Oil Field Mining, Landscaping, Tree Trimming, etc.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
There are many projects and clients I’ve worked with over the years that I’ve found enjoyment from. The most recent one I can think of is collaborating with a bookkeeper from a large company that was behind in their books from 2020 and helping them get their books organized to be transferred from QuickBooks Desktop to a different accounting software.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
As a bookkeeper, my advice to a customer looking to hire a provider in their area would be as follows: Do your research: Look for providers who specialize in the services you need and have experience working with businesses in your industry. Check reviews and references: Look for reviews and references from past clients to get an idea of their reputation and track record. This will give you a good sense of their level of expertise, professionalism, and reliability. Consider communication: It's important to work with a provider who communicates clearly and promptly, and who is responsive to your needs and concerns. Look for providers who are easy to reach and who take the time to understand your specific needs and goals. Compare pricing: Compare pricing from different providers to ensure you're getting a fair price for the services you require. However, don't choose a provider solely based on price, as the cheapest option may not always be the best in terms of quality and expertise. Meet with potential providers: Schedule a meeting or consultation with potential providers to get a sense of their communication style, level of expertise, and overall fit with your business. This will help you make a more informed decision about which provider is right for you.
