Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We offer a FREE 30-minute initial consultation. Our pricing is billable on an hourly basis.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Initially, we meet with our clients to determine what their needs are and challenges are to ensure we are going to be a good fit for their needs. We are financial people and treat our client's businesses like we would treat our own. We won't take on a client if we didn't feel we were up for the task and able to help the client.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a BSBA degree in Organizational Psychology and 25-year experience in Bookkeeping, Payroll, Payment Management, and Business Consulting. Our team are QB Pro-Advisors and we are an Authorized Intuit Reseller. In the past I have also worked for Intuit.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
In the past I did software training and would go into businesses teaching the owner or an Administrative Assistant how to use QuickBooks. About three weeks after being there they would call me and say, "We don't want to do this. Would you do this for us." Thus Tempo Enterprises was born in March of 1997.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Construction, Retail, Non-Profits, Realtors, Individuals, Elderly, Service, HVAC, Stagers, Business Coaches, Investment, Painters, Accountants, Photographers, Veterinaries.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Each client is unique. While the tasks may be similar between clients, the scenarios may be different so we pride ourselves on being flexible with our clients. We can do as much or as little as our clients need us to do depending on how involved they want to be in their books. We regularly meet with our clients and believe business owners need to be in touch with their finances. We present it in easy-to-understand terms and welcome questions.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I often tell my clients the only person who may know you better than your bookkeeper is your local bartender. Find someone that you feel you can connect with and that open dialogue can flow both ways. Your bookkeeper and you will develop a professional working relationship - one that should be met honestly and without judgement.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
They should make a list of what their pain points are when it comes to money and finances. What challenges are they having with their accounting? If they are looking to change to a new bookkeeper it is important to understand why and determine what will make the next bookkeeper relationship a success.
