What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The prices listed are our base prices for individual tax preparation, which consists of an initial consultation, federal Form 1040 and one state tax return e-filed. Any additional Forms, i.e. Schedule A, Schedule C, Child Tax Credit, etc. that are prepared are changed by Form in addition to the base prices listed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We perform an interview to best understand the tax situation of the customer and then prepare the tax return based on the best possible outcome for the customer. Our service includes an independent review of the tax return before it gets finalized and e-filed.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

After obtaining my CPA and working for over 20 years with various companies in various industries.

I have worked with various types of customers and therefore have knowledge of various tax situations.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I enjoy the challenging situations when customers are in need of tax consultation to either get back on track and be current with their tax filings / liabilities, or those who just want to know what the optimal tax filing would be for their situation.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for someone with a creditable certification like a Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

They should ask if the tax preparer has experience with their specific tax situation.
