What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is based on the complexity of your return. If you refer a client to us and we complete their return, we will give you a $25 discount when you file with us the following year.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We first meet with our clients via Zoom or phone to talk and learn about their tax situation. During the call, we explain our process from securely collecting personal information to filing their return. Once we've completed the returns, we review the file with the client to educate them on the ins and outs of their tax return. We also provide a complimentary mid-year review to help our clients prepare for the upcoming tax season.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed CPA with over 15 years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was an Accounting major in college and began working with the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance program (VITA), as well as preparing returns for family and friends.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with individuals who are only W-2 employees. I've prepared returns for S Corps, Partnerships, Real Estate professionals, Independent Professionals, and Entrepreneurs in various fields.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I worked with a Real Estate Partnership that was dissolving into a single individual ownership. It took two weeks to prepare, and I was able to provide the previous partners with the information they needed to file their individual returns.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure that they are credible tax preparers. If they say they are a CPA, please confirm by researching websites such as cpaverify.org. If they refuse to sign your return, it may be a red flag that they are not legitimate.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What is the process for completing tax returns? How many years of experience do they have? Do they offer guidance when it comes to taxes?
