Pricing for Bookkeeping Services may vary depending on the type of services needed. For tax preparation, I normally start at a base price of $300 plus additional bank and form fees. However, bookkeeping services can range from $300 plus. For bookkeeping cleanup, my charge is $2400/ year. Any additional services will include added fees.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My typical process when working with a new client includes the following: Setting up a free Consultation virtually or in the office. Find out the needs of the clients. Advise the clients of my services Provide an overview of the features in Quickbooks and how it can help the clients business. Create a contract Bring the client on board

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have my BA in Accounting and obtained my Quickbooks ProAdvisor Certification. I am also a Notary, which is an additional service I offer.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started Bookkeeping and Tax Services to put my Accounting degree in action. Because I knew most large businesses use Quickbooks, I wanted to learn so that I could take an Accounting job using this software. Therefore, I purchased Quickbooks software to get acclimated with it. I later found out it was free to all Accountants. I received the free version and started Bookkeeping for 3 clients. This was in March of 2021. I then wanted to learn how to gain more clients. So I studied using the Quickbooks online training material and passed the certification exam. Since then I have gained an additional 9 clients. I love what I do and take much pleasure in helping businesses succeed.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I worked with a number of clients from different industries. J.A.R Accounting Services, LLC provide services to Trucking companies, churches, HOA board, Bakery, Clothing, Seafood as well as a Plumbing business.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Creating Projections for Businesses - This is a service I offer as a separate fee. It takes time because I have to gather historical data to determine future Revenues, Expenses, and Net Income.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure your professional is knowledgeable and efficient in what they do. And that you are not just a number to them. You want a professional who will treat you like you are the only client. Most importantly, make sure they are very transparent with you. And always COMMUNICATE!!!!!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

First and foremost, have an open mind on pricing. Make sure to know what type of needs your business require. Be able to explain thoroughly so your professional can choose the right plan for you. Communicate yours and the professional availability. These are the most important things to address when building that trust relationship with a professional.
