What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in both Georgia and Texas, and an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) credentials that require rigorous testing and ongoing education to maintain. My educational background includes: 🎓 A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 🎓 Completion of the Advanced Professional Accounting Program at Austin Community College in Texas I also have over 5+ years of hands-on experience preparing and reviewing 2000+ tax returns including individual (1040), S-Corps (1120S), partnerships (1065), and C-Corps (1120) for clients across various industries such as real estate, IT, healthcare, and professional services. In addition, I regularly complete continuing education and tax law updates to stay current with IRS regulations, tax planning strategies, and accounting technology.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My journey began overseas after completing my accounting degree, I worked in the banking sector in Dubai. When I moved to the U.S., I decided to pursue my passion for numbers and financial problem-solving more deeply. I completed advanced accounting studies in Texas and earned my CPA license, followed by becoming an IRS Enrolled Agent. Over the years, I worked at several CPA firms across the U.S., gaining experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, IRS representation, and strategic planning for small businesses and high-net-worth individuals. But I noticed a problem: many firms focused more on volume than people. So, I launched Prosperous CPA Services a virtual firm where clients receive one-on-one attention, proactive planning, and transparent advice directly from a CPA, not just an admin or assistant.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with a wide range of clients across many industries, including: ✅ Small business owners – from startups to established companies ✅ Real estate investors – residential, commercial, and short-term rentals ✅ Independent professionals – consultants, doctors, IT contractors, and marketing agency owners ✅ High-income individuals – who need proactive tax planning and multi-state compliance ✅ Immigrant entrepreneurs – who need guidance navigating the U.S. tax system ✅ Freelancers & self-employed individuals – helping them stay organized and compliant ✅ Non-resident clients – including those with U.S. rental income or business interests Many of my clients come to me after feeling neglected by big firms. They want more than compliance they want proactive strategies, fast communication, and someone who truly understands their goals.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One recent project I’m especially proud of involved a small business owner who came to me with disorganized books, IRS notices, and uncertainty about their taxes. They operated an S Corporation but hadn’t been maximizing deductions or maintaining proper payroll records. Over the course of about 3 weeks, I: ✅ Cleaned up and reconciled their books ✅ Filed the current year’s business and personal tax returns ✅ Amended a prior-year return to claim missed deductions ✅ Set up a proactive tax plan, including home office, vehicle use, and Solo 401(k) strategy ✅ Helped them establish a monthly bookkeeping system and determine reasonable payroll In the end, we reduced their tax liability, avoided future penalties, and gave them a clear financial picture moving forward. The client said it was the first time they truly understood their numbers and felt confident at tax time.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look beyond flashy marketing and big-firm names what matters most is who’s actually working on your books and tax returns. Here’s what I recommend: ✅ Work directly with a licensed CPA – not just a “tax pro” or admin. Credentials matter, especially when it comes to complex tax situations or IRS issues. ✅ Ask who will actually prepare and review your return – many firms delegate to junior staff or offshore teams without your knowledge. ✅ Choose someone who understands your industry – whether you’re in real estate, self-employed, or running a small business, you want someone who speaks your financial language. ✅ Check for transparent pricing and communication – your provider should be upfront about fees and responsive to your questions. The right tax advisor doesn’t just file forms they help you keep more of what you earn and make smarter financial decisions.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before reaching out, it’s helpful to reflect on a few key questions to make your conversation with a CPA or tax professional more productive: 1️⃣ What are your goals? Are you looking to reduce taxes, clean up your books, catch up on filings, respond to the IRS, or plan for the future? 2️⃣ What is your current financial setup? Do you operate as a sole proprietor, LLC, S-Corp, or partnership? Do you have bookkeeping in place or need help getting started? 3️⃣ What’s your timeline? Is there an urgent deadline (e.g., tax filing, IRS letter, loan application)? Or are you planning ahead? 4️⃣ What are your pain points? Where are you struggling bookkeeping, tax payments, cash flow, communication with your current accountant? 5️⃣ What documents do you already have? Gather prior tax returns, profit & loss statements, bank statements, and payroll info. This saves time and helps the professional assess your situation faster. Thinking through these questions will help ensure you find a provider who not only understands your needs but can offer the right solutions with clarity and confidence.
