Introduction

I prepare income taxes online (no office visit, no travel and no Covid exposure) and represent clients with Federal or State tax collection issues. I have over 30 years experience and am an Enrolled Agent. I am a retired military veteran and proudly offer a $25 discount to veterans, first responders, health care workers and to members of the clergy. Tax issues, be it a simple or complex tax return, or dealing with the IRS over the phone or an audit, can be a daunting task for most people. We offer low cost solutions and personal services.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My individual tax preparation fees start at $200 and rarely exceed $350. Corporate, partnership, trusts, or representation fees are negotiable,

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My office is 100% virtual using a secure portal for transmitting and receiving documents. I will send a portal invitation to your email address.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree in Business Administration, licensed as an Enrolled Agent and take over 30 hours of training every year, for over 30 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started on a part time basis while on active duty with the Navy. I was looking for work that could be done in the winter and have the summers off so my wife and I could travel in our RV. The virtual office means I could start your return in Greenacres and finish while camping at Lake Tahoe.

What types of customers have you worked with?

In over 30 years I have customers from all walks of life.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have a client that had her returns done by a CPA and a large tax preparation company, all of whom made major mistakes and omissions. The IRS wanted over $85,000 in back taxes, plus penalties and interest. I amended her returns and then worked with the IRS to zero out what she owed and get a refund for $10,000 +.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for experience, but also look for someone that charges a fee based on the value added by the professional, not the value added by the software (although my software is pretty good and expensive).

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Why should I hire someone when I can do it myself? Well I can change my own oil; but it is a mess and I always worry if there is something I am missing that a trained mechanic would notice while the car is on the lift.
