Having meeting and discussion to understand their business or personal situation and how best to resolve their issues, and have services and cost in writing in an engagement letter.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I had to amend 3 years of corporate and individual returns for a new client as the prior accountant had made many mistakes. We were able to save over 100k in tax for the 3 owners, and the project took 2 weeks.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

do talk to several accountants and see what you are getting for the fees charged.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

know your issues, make it clear what your needs and expectations are and get an engagement letter from accountant that states their fees for the services they will provide and what the time frame is so everyone is on the same page.
