What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My current flate-rate per return is: Individual return - $200 Business return - $300 Bookkeeping - $100 per month For a limited time, I am also offering a 40% discount for customers on Thumbtack.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer a simple, four step process to work with new customers. Step One: Get you a quick return on investment. When you sign up, we look at your last three tax returns and pull your IRS tax transcripts. This helps us find any tax savings opportunities that you may have missed. We make sure you take advantage of them right away. Step Two: Build Your Tax Plan We work to find legal ways to cut your tax bill. We build a personalized tax plan based on your income, family situation, and goals. And we’ll walk you through implementation so you actually get the savings. Step Three: Keep You on Track Year-Round Taxes aren’t a once-a-year event. We check in with you quarterly so you don’t get any surprise tax bills, you’re capturing any life changes, and you’re on track for estimated payments. We’ll be your personal “CFO,” proactively looking out for you to ensure your tax situation is safe. Step Four: File Your Return + And Help You With the IRS We prepare and file your federal and state tax returns with accuracy and punctuality. I hold a Bachelor's and Masters in Accounting & Business Law. I am also federally licensed to practice before the IRS in all tax matters. I am also constantly learning to improve my skills and increase my tax knowledge so I can help my clients save more in taxes.

I have worked with individuals, small businesses, and non-profits. I enjoy working with each kind, and helping different groups with their tax problems and solutions.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Because tax law is constantly changing, I would recommend my clients to look for a provider that stays updated with new changes in tax law. This is to ensure you get the maximum tax refund possible, and to prevent trouble with the IRS.

To ensure a good fit, here are some questions I recommend clients ask a potential accountant: 1. Without knowing every detail about my financial situation, how are you saving your other other clients tax burdens and what overall other services do you offer that your other clients utilize? 2. How would you handle billing if I call you with a quick question? 3. Would I primarily be working with you or one of your assistants? 4. What accounting softwares are you familiar with? 5. Would you be willing to provide a fixed rate for hourly / yearly returns?
