Introduction

I have been working with QuickBooks Desktop and Enterprise for over 15 years. I opened my own bookkeeping service in 2019 and use QuickBooks Online as my primary platform. I love bookkeeping and find it rewarding to solve problems for my clients. I started my business because I truly love what I do. True story - I once spent almost two months trying to fix misallocated items in a client's QuickBooks files. I worked as a general manager for that client for many years and he is still a client of my new business.

Most of my services are customized for your business and as such difficult to quote until I know more about what you do and what level of service/s you require.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

A fact finding Zoom meeting to get to know a bit about each other and give me the information I need to quote your job.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a QuickBooks Certified Pro Advisor and currently studying for the Advanced Certification.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Many years ago I ran a business that was purchased by seven accountants and they taught me all the basics. I also assisted the corporate office with their bookkeeping, first using PeachTree then moving to QuickBooks. I have used QuickBooks since 2001 and QuickBooks Online since early 2019.

Recreational business with seven locations (some sold off so now down to two) - still my client RV Rental Dealership - no longer a client Currently also have a deli/catering client

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I love all projects I am involved in, especially those that are like puzzles! Most of my cleanup work, depending on the scope, take me anywhere from a week or so through a few months.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find someone who you feel you can work with easily. Make the time to get whomever you hire the documents they need in a timely fashion. Loyalty and dedication and integrity are key in my opinion.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Who would be the primary contact for the work? What is your end game? Are you merely seeking to get your books set up, cleaned up, training for you or staff, quarterly check ins? Will this be a short term project or a longer relationship?
