I am a bookkeeper and certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and my passion is helping business owners get a clear picture of their financials so they can make confident business decisions. I offer both package and percentage-based fee options and aim to work with any budget. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer both package and percentage-based fees to fit any budget.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We discuss what you love and hate about your current bookkeeping system and what you need going forward in order for you and your business to thrive. I'll then provide you with a proposal. Once accepted, you are onboarded and your information received using our secure portal and from there your bookkeeping can begin.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a QB ProAdvisor and TSheetsPRO and am always continuing my professional education.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have worked in administrative roles in varying industries over the last 15 years - food/drink, publishing, healthcare, direct sales - always fascinated by the financial workings of these businesses. I now bring my knowledge of these industries to the table as a bookkeeper.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Since opening my own business in 2019, I have worked with CPAs; financial advisors; medical facilities; holistic health practitioners; general, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and landscape contractors; realtors; short-term rental companies; e-commerce businesses; dentists; tree services; pest control services; photographers; tech companies; marketing professionals; daycares; law firms; farms; and other small business owners.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

In the space of a week, I was able to ascertain that a small business had recorded their income in duplicate through incorrectly recording it in QuickBooks. Had their financial reports gone to their tax preparer in the original form, they would have appeared to owe much higher income taxes than they actually did.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do it! You'll never regret having a clearer picture of your business financials while also spending more time doing what you love.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What is working and what isn't with your current system and where you anticipate your business growing or changing in the foreseeable future. It's also important to know your revenue, number of bank accounts/credit cards/loans, number of employees or contractors, how often you'd like reports, and it is helpful to have a recent bank statement(s) handy in case I need to know your volume of transactions.
