What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we start working with a new customer, we begin with a friendly consultation to understand your needs and goals. Then, we create a customized plan to help with your accounting or data needs, explaining every step in simple terms. We set up secure systems to share information easily and start by organizing your current records to ensure everything is accurate and up-to-date. From there, we provide regular updates, clear reports, and ongoing support to make sure you feel confident and stress-free about your finances!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to a masters in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. I have been creating technologies, commercializing ideas, optimizing processes, and raising financing for healthcare businesses for over 15 years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We started this work because we saw how much healthcare providers were struggling with managing their finances and data while trying to focus on patient care. We wanted to create a service that made accounting and data management easier, more accurate, and less stressful for them. With a background in healthcare finance and technology, we combined our skills to help providers streamline their operations, save time, and improve their financial health so they can focus on what they do best—caring for patients!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have work in public, private, and academic sectors. However, I am exclusively focused on healthcare providers. That includes independent medical practices, diagnostic laboratories, home health businesses, etc.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We are on an active project to help 3 location nephrology practice implement cost accounting into their business. It's part technical, part compliance and governance, and part leadership and change management. Lots of skills being deployed.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for a provider who understands the unique challenges of healthcare and has experience with financial and data solutions specific to your industry. Make sure they offer clear pricing with no hidden fees and can explain their services in simple terms. Ask about their approach to compliance and security, especially when handling sensitive data. Most importantly, choose someone who listens to your needs and provides ongoing support to help you reach your goals. A good partner should make your life easier, not harder!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before talking to professionals, think about what your biggest challenges are and what goals you want to achieve. Do you need help with day-to-day bookkeeping, understanding your costs, or transitioning to value-based care? Consider your budget and how much support you’d like—basic assistance or full-service management. Also, think about what tools or systems you already use, like EHRs or accounting software, and whether you need help integrating them. Finally, ask yourself what kind of communication and updates you expect to stay informed and confident throughout the project.
