I offer a set price for either projects or monthly services.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I use Zoom meeting, video for the client is optional, to introduce myself and do screen share. I work using QuickBooks Online and meet with my clients on a regular basis for both project and monthly clients.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Training: -Bookkeeper Launch -QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor -National Association of Professional Bookkeepers Training -Year of working with small businesses doing bookkeeping

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I use to help my parents when I was younger with their bookkeeping and taxes as my father was always a 1099 worker. I also began to help other friends and family over the years and then decided to start my own bookkeeping business

What types of customers have you worked with?

All small business (less that 2M in gross revenue) -Service base businesses -Online with little inventory -Retail with minimum inventory

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Doing QuickBooks Cleanup for three (3) years. Most clients come needing sometime of clean-up and catch up unless starting the accounting system from scratch. It took six (6) plus months as it involved getting supporting documents from the client

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Low price many times can be sign that a professional is new an may not understand what all is needed. In order to get a fair quote some type of high level review either by reviewing bank statements or QBO file is common to help understand what is needed. Think more long term with bookkeeping as what is done today will continue to impact the books for years to come.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

-What level of commitment do I have to help either get an accounting system setup or get my books cleaned up and caught up? -What can I afford monthly on my bookkeeping and payroll? -Do I really have the expertise ( knowledge & skills) to do my own bookkeeping?
