What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Fees are based upon the level of difficulty of the project. Basic bookkeeping will have an initial set up fee, followed by hourly billing. All fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to any work being completed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first step is to understand your needs and the business. Typically, we will discuss your current processes and then work together to find a way to improve your business so that you can maximize your return on your time.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BBA in accounting from SHSU as well as an MBA from SHSU. In addition to this I have a masters in engineering in the Industrial Distribution field from A&M. I am Quickbooks certified and have worked in Oracle, Sage MAS200, and SAP Business By Design.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always had a love for debits and credits. I like the accounting field and have found that the best place for me is to support entrepreneurs and business owners to achieve their goals.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Distributors, real estate owners, and small business owners who are looking for help getting their finances in order. This can be to help them get a loan from the bank, preparing their books for their taxes, or if they are looking to sell the business and need clean and orderly financials. Additionally, I have helped individuals looking to build their financial future with home budgets and consumption planning.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Recently I worked with a multi-million distribution company to create an inventory stratification system. This resulted in a clear A, B, C, and D categorization that helped to inform their purchasing strategy. Inventory turns increased by 30% within the first 6 months and return on inventory investment increased by 20%.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always look for someone who you can work with. You are the customer and if someone isn't willing to take the time to understand your needs BEFORE they start offering advice, they probably aren't going to be able to help you.
