What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is typically done at an hourly rate of $40.00 per hour. Longstanding customers may be offered a discounted flat rate after a year.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We like to get basic information about the customer such as the industry and years in business. From there, we have a discussion about your needs and how we can accomplish it for you. Once that is determined, we submit a service agreement for signature to get started.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All of our current employees have a college degree. As the owner, I have a bachelors degree in accounting. My lead associate has a bachelors with a concentration in music and business and has worked with me since she was in high school.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My business was started as a way to help small businesses while also giving me the flexibility to be home for my children and pursue my volunteer interests.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We primarily work with the construction trades, but we also work with chiropractors, small retail store owners, automation manufacturers, residential and vacation rentals, and commission based service providers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

It was a volunteer project doing an informal audit for a local non-profit. The client did not use accounting software nor did they use good accounting practices. In order to complete the assignment of reviewing 3 prior years of financials, I created a very impressive excel workbook with tabs by bank account/funding source that summarized to create the financials. The project took approximately 60 days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Good/Fast/Cheap--Decide which one of these is the least important to you because you can't have all three, and good is the one that you should never sacrifice. Look for someone that can help you grow your business by streamline processes.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Be clear on the scope either being a one time project or an on-going relationship. Determine the urgency of the project up front and communicate that to the provider so they can determine if they can meet your timeline.
