I am a CPA with a passion for small businesses. In the past 8 years, I've helped hundreds of companies scale and grow from all stages. I enjoy working directly with business owners to give them clarity on their business, help them achieve their business goals, and be a true partner they can lean on for advice and feedback. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our typical pricing for accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll will be a set monthly fee. Once we agree on an engagement, you will receive an engagement letter detailing our deliverables and pricing and a link to enter your payment information. We will charge you your monthly fee on the first business day of each month. This fee includes all phone calls, emails, meetings with us, so you do not have to worry about any surprise bills later on.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our process starts with an initial call or consultation to introduce ourselves and learn more about the client. If this is a good fit, we will provide a proposal outlining the deliverables to the client, as well as pricing - we will present this proposal and answer any questions. Once the proposal is accepted and signed, we will have our first onboarding meeting, where we get access to al of your accounts, ask detailed questions, and answer any detailed questions you may have. We also establish a good workflow that works for you regarding any deliverables. After onboarding, we get to work with cleaning up/optimizing your financials, coding, reconciling, etc. During the first two to three months, we schedule monthly calls to walk you through your financials, get feedback, and be highly communicative with you about anything that is on your mind. We also work closely with your tax CPA to provide updated financials as often as needed so they are kept up to date with any changes in your business.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a CPA in the state of Texas. Most recently I've led the accounting team at a very innovative and entrepreneurial accounting firm where I've worked with over 100 businesses on all accounting needs. During my time there, I was able to guide our clients through several stages of growth, and grow their accounting, reporting and processes along with them. My past experience includes work in real estate and portfolio accounting, as well as several years working in public accounting auditing medium and large businesses in Texas and beyond.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with customers of all shapes and sizes. Some of the industries I've worked with is media and advertising, transportation, ride share, education, service level businesses, technology, retailers and restaurants. Since I worked with such a large variety of businesses, I've been able to narrow down some of the best solutions, automations, integrations and technology that works best for our customers and helps them scale and grow their business.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A recent project I worked on was moving a business with very manual billing, bill pay and reconciliation practices from Quickbooks Desktop to QBO, adding dimension to their accounting and automating its workflows. The close time for this business was well over two months, so the business owners did not have the visibility into how they did the previous month, until 60 days later. Along with my team, I was able to clean up and make current their financials, then transition them to a cloud based software and start integrating their CRM, their payroll bill pay, receipt capture and design a robust close schedule. Additionally, we added 3 dimensions to their financials, so the business could zoom in on certain segments of the business effortlessly. The result was an 8 business day close with unprecedented clarity and detail, which allowed the business to focus on growth and start scaling at a rapid rate. This project took about 3 months to fully achieve, but the results were well worth the effort. While not every project will be this complex, we are able to advise and tackle all types and sizes or projects in order to best position you to grow your company and leapfrog your competition.
