My firm specializes in monthly and catch up bookkeeping for LLC and S-Corp entities. I help serious entrepreneurs increase their profits, and maximize their tax savings. I do bookkeeping for clients in construction, trucking, software, insurance, real estate, lending, hospitality, solar, and more. In the bookkeeping world I see many DIY mistakes. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I like to charge a flat monthly fee although in some situations a project fee or hourly rate is useful.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Although I do most of the work remotely, we can meet in-person to make introductions or we can make introductions through technology.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a bachelors of accounting and I have been working in the accounting industry since 2015.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started doing accounting when I was hired by an outsourced accounting and fractional CFO firm to do bookkeeping.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with business in the following areas: construction, framing, plumbing, trucking, laundromats, landlords, pipeline consultants, drop shipping, lead generators, financial planners, insurance brokers, lenders, software developers, outdoor resorts, public speakers, etc. I also enjoy consulting with other bookkeepers or business owners about setting up their QuickBooks accounting systems.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I love cleaning up balance sheets, and income statements and getting bank and credit card accounts reconciled and current. I also love working with data in excel to create a budget and profitability analysis. A more recent project involved putting together a breakeven and profitability analysis for a new café.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure there is a clear agreement in place that specifically defines responsibilities and defines the scope of work. Make sure they are QuickBooks certified and have a solid accounting background and will reconcile your books to bank, credit card, and loan statements.
