What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive hands-on experience in the construction industry, working on government, residential, and commercial projects. As the owner of multiple businesses, including a marketing agency, a plumbing company, and Webuilt, I’ve gained practical knowledge in estimating, bookkeeping, and system development. Additionally, I’ve dedicated time to mastering tools like QuickBooks Online, Wave Apps, and Go High Level to help contractors improve their operations and grow their businesses.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in the construction industry working on government, residential, and commercial projects, which gave me firsthand experience with the challenges contractors face. As I built my own businesses, I realized how crucial strong bookkeeping, estimating, and marketing systems are for success. This inspired me to create Webuilt — a service designed to help contractors streamline their operations, save time, and grow their businesses. My goal is to share the tools and strategies I’ve learned to help others succeed.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide range of construction professionals, including general contractors, roofers, plumbers, electricians, and other trade specialists. From small startups looking to establish solid systems to larger companies aiming to scale past $1 million in revenue, I tailor my services to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether it’s improving bookkeeping, winning more bids, or enhancing marketing efforts, I focus on helping contractors achieve growth and long-term success.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One project I’m especially proud of was helping a roofing contractor struggling with inconsistent cash flow and disorganized bookkeeping. Over the course of about two months, I set up QuickBooks Online, organized their financial records, and implemented a streamlined invoicing and expense tracking system. I also helped them build a marketing strategy using Webuilt’s platform to generate more leads.
By the end of the project, their cash flow improved significantly, and they felt confident managing their finances. Seeing their business become more organized and profitable was incredibly rewarding.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to look for a provider who truly understands your industry and can tailor their services to meet your specific needs. It’s important to work with someone who has hands-on experience in construction and knows the challenges you face daily. Make sure they offer transparent pricing, clear communication, and are committed to long-term support. Lastly, choose a provider who focuses on simplifying your processes, whether it’s through bookkeeping, estimating, marketing, or software systems, so you can focus on growing your business.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before talking to professionals about your project, customers should consider these key questions:
1. What are my specific goals for this project? (e.g., improving cash flow, increasing leads, organizing finances)
2. What challenges am I currently facing? (e.g., disorganized bookkeeping, inconsistent marketing, slow project bidding)
3. What tools or systems am I using now, and are they effective?
4. What budget do I have for these services? (Have an idea of your financial capacity to allocate for solutions)
5. What kind of ongoing support will I need? (Consider if you need continued assistance after the project is completed)
6. How will I measure success? (Think about the results you expect and how you’ll track improvements)
7. What is my timeline for seeing results? (Be realistic about how long the process might take)
Thinking through these questions can help you clearly communicate your needs and ensure the professional you choose aligns with your business objectives.
