Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I routinely charge $85 an hour for residents and $125 an hour for businesses.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I would love to communicate with new customers online or over the phone to discuss their problem.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been in business for 10 years and I have been learning about technology since I was about 9 years old. When I was in high school, I started doing some light IT works for the students and administration on campus. I also graduated with my bachelor's degree from the University of California, Irvine.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started when I was 16, bringing my knowledge to the client's doorstep. I have always been fascinated by technology and I love working with it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with lawyers, doctors, engineers, and many other individuals from multiple industries who are great at what they do but do not usually understand how technology works.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently, I had a client who was having issues with her devices falling off of her network as well as having other connectivity issues. Upon inspecting the property, I noted that she had over 100 devices on her property, all using the internet simultaneously. I installed new high-end equipment capable of supporting all of her devices. She has had no problems since.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be vigilant and be communicative with your chosen professional. We may work a lot with various kinds of technology that may make us seem unapproachable, but a lot of us are quite personable. Therefore, if you have any problems or questions, just ask!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about your current problem, think of what end goal you have in mind, and think about how you would like to reach it.
