Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We believe in transparent pricing. We charge a standard $59 diagnostic fee, which is upfront and non-refundable, but will be credited toward your final bill if you proceed with service. For hardware-related services, we require a 50% down payment to order parts. We also offer bundle discounts for multiple devices and discounted rates for repeat and business clients.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, we start with a brief consultation to understand the issue or project goals. Next, we perform a diagnostic (if applicable) to pinpoint the root cause. Once that’s completed, we provide a detailed quote and timeline. After approval, we begin service and keep the customer updated throughout the process. Once the job is completed, we review everything with the client and ensure their satisfaction.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Our technicians have over 10 years of hands-on experience in IT support, electronics repair, and system building. We’re continuously learning to stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends, and we’re trained in data recovery, macOS and Windows environments, network infrastructure, and custom PC hardware.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
It started with a passion for fixing computers and helping friends and family solve tech issues. What began as a hobby grew into a professional service, and eventually into RossTech Solutions, where we now serve a broad range of clients with dependable, hands-on tech support.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
We’ve worked with homeowners, small businesses, Airbnb hosts, students, and even non-profits. Whether it’s repairing a MacBook, recovering lost files, or setting up an entire network, we tailor our service to meet each client’s unique needs.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One project we’re proud of was a complete network infrastructure setup for a Church property, which included access point placement, structured cabling, and Wi-Fi optimization. It took 3 days to complete, and the client reported a huge improvement in speed and reliability. We love projects that solve long-term problems.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Always ask about diagnostic procedures, warranty policies, and turnaround time. A good provider will be transparent, communicative, and explain the issue in simple terms. Also, look for someone who asks the right questions, not just gives quick fixes.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Consider these: What’s the exact problem or goal? What device(s) are involved (brand/model)? Has any work been done on it before? Are there deadlines or time-sensitive needs? Do you have backups of your data? The more details you can provide, the better we can serve you!
