Introduction

We are a convenience and quality driven local data recovery company in the Greater Boston Area. We specialize in data recovery. We work with government agencies, big and small businesses, as well as regular folks. If you are looking for a local, fast-turnaround and affordable file recovery service, then Data Recovery Guru is a good match. Unlike our competitors, your recovery will be performed here in Massachusetts. What kind of data recovery expectations are you looking for in your service provider? We are confident we can meet them. Here are some to consider: that they are local, quality driven, exercise fair pricing, guarantee no hidden costs, etc. Our best advice is that you don't lead your decision-making process based on price. Really cheap means low quality or lack of knowledge. If cheap service is more important, then please choose one of our competitors. We recover data from all modern devices, including RAID arrays, NAS/SAN drives, hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD), USB flash drives, as well as Compact and SD/Micro SD Cards. NOTE: We do NOT provide smartphone & tablet screen replacement for repair purpose, only data recovery service (starting at $900). Before charging a penny, we take the time to answer and educate on all of the customer's questions. If you are nearby Boston or Providence, our staff will come and pick up your device for free. In addition, we offer a FREE diagnosis report and a no-obligation quote in order to determine whether the service is suitable for you. If you are unhappy with the recovery, then there is no data recovery service charge. Satisfaction Guaranteed or Pay Nothing. If the customer is happy, then we are happy. Simple.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The standard pricing system is similar to the car repair industry, namely based on the type of failure the device [car] sustained and the length of service chosen. In addition, we offer various pre-determined length of services to suit the customer's interest in either a 'more budget' or 'urgent need' type of service. We often complete the recovery sooner than the due date. No sketchy and misleading "price range" tactics. Upfront and honest.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. Free Consultation - we answer all the questions, including pricing 2. Customer provides their information for service (name, phone #, device location, etc) 3. We receive the device from customer, whether via pick-up by our staff, drop-off or ship-in (depends on device location) 4. Diagnosis and Report (FREE with the 48 Hours option) 5. Service Approval 6. Data Recovery Service 7. File listing of recovered content verification by customer via web 8. Invoice Payment 9. Recovery delivery

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
A+, Network+, along with over 4200 data recovery projects worked on directly or supervised.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Curiosity, then over time mastered and just love doing it. The best feeling is when customers tell us they are happy with our service with regard to convenience, honesty, transparency, and, of course, quality.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All: private customers, businesses/corporate and government.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Most fond project was an onsite recovery at the IBM data center in Texas, which took 3-4 days. It was about recovering deleted emails. Very challenging, but fulfilling.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
To look for honesty, transparency, quality and a local service provider who is willing to answer all the customer's questions so that they have a solid understanding of that the service expectations will be like.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
1. Is the service provided truly local? 2. Will the service provider's staff come pick-up my device and not some random courier? 3. If I prefer to decline the service, can I get my device back without hassle and sudden hidden fees? 4. Will the service be convenient for me without having to waste time off work to drop off the device or ship it out-of-state, or harass for service updates and so on? 5. Do you specialize in the data recovery?
