I keep my pricing simple and transparent — hourly rates with no surprise fees. I offer discounts for students, seniors, and multi-device service calls. Remote/phone help is typically cheaper than in-person visits. If I can fix it quickly, I’ll let you know — no dragging it out to rack up charges.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I listen. You tell me what’s going wrong, and I’ll ask a few questions to figure out whether this is an in-person or remote job. If I come to you, I bring what I need and explain what I’m doing as I go. I’ll also leave you with tips so the issue doesn’t pop up again later!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I’ve been doing hands-on tech support for years — building PCs, solving software issues, and troubleshooting networks. I’ve worked in both casual and professional environments (including educational settings), and I stay up to date on tools, malware trends, and tech best practices.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started out helping friends and family with their computer issues, then turned it into a side hustle. It turns out people really appreciate someone who can fix things without talking in robot tech speak. Beep boop.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Everyone from college students who spilled water on their laptop, to small businesses setting up Wi-Fi or printers, to older folks needing a hand with basic tech. I’ve also helped gamers, content creators, and educators get their setups just right. I love variety!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently helped a small startup get a complex networking system up and running. Took about 10 hours total, but it felt great to know they were able to finally get things up and running!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure they’re not just reading from a script. You want someone who understands the “why” behind tech problems — not just how to Google the fix. Also, don’t be afraid to ask them to explain things in plain English. A good tech should empower you, not confuse you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Think about: What exactly isn’t working? When did it start? Has anything changed recently (updates, new devices, etc.)? What would “fixed” look like to you? The more context you can give, the faster I can get it done!
