What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

If calling over the phone or messaging us, let us know the device's model and/or serial number beforehand. If unknown, bring your device at our shop. We'll create a ticket gathering your information. Give a description for what's wanted done service-wise: repair, upgrade, diagnostic, etc. If you're unsure what's wrong, then we can diagnose your device. For many cases, the source of the problem is very clear. After diagnostic, we'll call you back with a price quote. Some repairs are very quick, and some may take time depending on our part availability, parts suppliers, shipping options, complexity of the repair, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Studied Electrical and Computer Engineering and had some IT certifications

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Started at a young age disassembling and building devices, did ongoing research, went to college for Electrical and Computer Engineering, worked at other repair stores, and took all that experience and knowledge and now have own business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Wide variety including residential and commercial

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Many competitors around here have fake reviews--probably not on Thumbtack but other review sites such as Google, etc. Beware of companies that have hundreds of Google reviews and very few reviews on Yelp or elsewhere. Such a discrepancy is unusual. Read their negative reviews and their review responses rather than going by overall review rating alone. Get a feel for the technician who will be working on your device. Recommend calling to gather a better assessment rather than messaging companies. Do not shop by cheapest price. Do not ask us why our price is $10 more than competitor X. Do not go to places that brag about repairing phones in 10-20 minutes. These places often do not thoroughly clean the old gunky adhesive causing screens to later lift and leave bits of dust and particles under the glass or lazily use something like super glue which should never be used to adhere phone screens. The more technical the job for example soldering, the more important it becomes to know the credibility of who is doing the repair. Many techs at franchises are young with little experience especially soldering.

What are the symptoms, and when did they start? If possible, obtain device model and/or serial number if you would like a more accurate price quote/estimate.
