Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is fair and competitive. I offer a free, 10 minute consultation to see if our fit is good. If so, we can discuss how the billing works and how we can limit fees in various ways!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
No client is typical! All of my clients deserve caring, responsive answers to their questions. In our first meeting, I always echo back what the needs of the client are, and then set expectations based on the law in Maryland.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a J.D. from Seton Hall Law School, and a certificate of advanced education from the University of Law School in complex family law.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with both men and women seeking law advice or action based on all aspects of family law. From pre-nuptial agreements to mediated divorces, to full trials, my intent is always to partner with my client to achieve the best result possible.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently tried a case for a father who was being denied rights to overnight custody of his young child. Mother claimed that he was inexperienced and could not care for an infant. After a four day trial, the court awarded the father a full shared custody arrangement where he had overnight custody of his child in equal time with the mother. Conversely, I recently tried a case for a mother who was much more financially successful than a father. Mother asked me to fight for custody of her child whom the father never wanted, and to avoid allowing the father from receiving alimony. Mother received approximately 80% of all she asked for and was quite thrilled with her results!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you hire someone whom your "gut" tells you is a good fit!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Organize your thoughts. What are your goals? What do you see as problems? Have dates ready.
