Introduction

My clients continually tell me that my work is exceptional. They tell me I am extremely knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and understanding. They tell me I am patient and fair. I routinely save my clients thousands, and sometimes tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees, and resolve their entire cases in a fraction of time it takes the courts to do so. In most all cases, my clients NEVER STEP FOOT IN A COURTROOM. I love using my legal skills and experience to bring people together in a way that results in them participating in the terms of a resolution, rather than a court TELLING THEM how the matter will be resolved. It is a skillful process that unites people with disagreements in a way they never thought was possible.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My fees are generally more reasonable than most, and I do offer payment options to assist clients.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Most often I like to meet once face-to-face at least once to establish a rapport. Often times I do not charge for an initial consultation, although that depends on the matter.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
MY EDUCATION NEVER CEASES, nor should yours. I take continuing legal education classes, talk routinely with lawyers, business owners, family and individual counselors and therapists, and read extensively. I also regularly attend trainings and seminars.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I HAVE A NEED FOR JUSTICE. As a kid, I always wanted to see things work out fairly... between people, customers and stores, animals in the same household, countries, and peoples around the world. THE DESIRE TO SEE JUSTICE SERVED led me to law school, and to a profession where I can use my knowledge of the legal system to help people resolve disputes, and bot fight unless you must... but always as a last resort. Rather, discuss the issues intelligently, and apply the law and experience to the issues to come to a fair conclusion, so that EVERYBODY WINS.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
A large number of my mediation cases are divorce cases involving couples who have grown apart, or desire to move their lives in different directions. HOWEVER, I regularly and really enjoy mediating disputes between businesses and individuals who desperately want to avoid the uncertainty of going to trial. I have mediated cases for large unions, hospitals and physician groups, Major League Baseball, and the NFLPA. I used to represent athletes and entertainers, and often resolved disputes between celebrities and their employers... whether it was a major sports team or a major motion picture studio.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
ADVICE FOR POTENTIAL CLIENTS: 1) Call me and talk with me on the phone. You will gain valuable insight into me, and the depth of my knowledge of the law, mediation successes and my world of experiences; 2) Call a few attorneys and ask them about their fees..then compare. 3) Read what my references have to say, and even request to speak with them directly. Ask as many questions as you need to to feel comfortable before making an informed decision.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
That it takes YEARS OF STUDY to know and understand the law and human relations, and to apply that knowledge of the law and interpersonal relationships to the mediation process. I have done just that. THEN, I have spent years "fine tuning" that knowledge through practice as a court mediator, professional mediator, and through ongoing trainings. I have advised and consulted with businesses, both large and small, and understand simple and complex business issues as well. I CONTINUE TO LEARN from different people and experiences each and everyday. Every case is unique, and I treat every case in its own unique way. I HAVE COMPASSION AND AM PASSIONATE about what I do, and not all attorneys and mediators are like that. That passion is but one trait that makes me exceptional.
