Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Call for an initial free telephone consultation before coming for an appointment or making any sort of commitment. I will speak with you directly and take some time to talk with you about your case and how I can help. It's a chance for you to ask any questions and make sure it's a good fit before entering an engagement agreement.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Even after having a telephone consult, we will still need to start with an in-person meeting to really go over your case in depth and develop a strategy, as well as to sign a retainer agreement, which is when I would officially become your lawyer and represent you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been practicing law for over fifteen years and have worked on a variety of matters and in a variety of settings, including as a law clerk to a federal district court judge. I am prepared to take on any challenge. It has always been my dream to bring my legal skills to people's most personal and urgent problems. I have also been through the family courts as a party, and I understand that you need not only a legal advocate, but also a personal guide, and I hope to be that for you.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
After years in federal court practice, I decided that I wanted to establish myself as a family law attorney. After working with an established practice for a couple of years and getting the lay of the land, I launched my own practice in the summer of 2019, and I look forward to practicing here in the Nashville community for many years to come.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
My practice focuses primarily on working with women, through divorce, child custody, orders of protection, as well as prenuptial agreements.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find someone who really understands not just the landscape of the relevant law, but who also takes the time to understand who you are and what you want to accomplish. This is someone you are trusting to be your voice in one of the most important matters in your life and no two cases are the same, no two clients are the same.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about your ideal outcome, one that is right and fair. Don't get stuck on the past but think about how you see your future and then find an attorney who shares that vision and will fight to get you there.
