10 years in business
I am board-certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by less than 2% of attorneys in Texas. My family law practice includes handling premarital agreements, divorces, and child custody matters. I also represent people who have been charged with criminal offenses, including having a lot of experience representing persons charged with DWI.
I have had diversified legal experience by working under some of the most widely respected attorneys in Dallas. From the start of my career, I have had the opportunity to work directly with clients in helping them with their life needs such as estate planning and family law services like divorce and child custody issues. I also was heavily involved in a variety of litigation cases and was involved in three large trials in my first year of practice.
Since opening my firm, I have had the opportunity to work and try cases with some of the best criminal and family law attorneys in DFW. I have taken continuing education courses in the science of DWI investigations such as blood and breath analysis. I also have attended numerous courses on advanced family law issues. I have been certified in the standardized field sobriety tests that police officers give during DWI stops, which gives me the experience to know when police officers fail in their DWI investigations and to use those investigative failures to the advantage of my client's case.
I strive to provide honest representation and to be responsive to my clients. It amazes me how many attorneys don't do those two simple things. I also am not afraid to try cases and enjoy being in court. I won't take the easy road by pleading out a criminal case or settling a case when I think we can take a case to court and win.
I enjoy helping regular people with their most intimate problems. Although I have worked on high-stakes business litigation and multi-million real estate transactions, I enjoy criminal defense and family law as it's rewarding to help people when their freedom and family are in jeopardy.
