Introduction

I pride myself on personal and responsive service to my clients. I return calls within 24 hours and keep clients informed throughout the representation. I also work as a team with my clients and provide them with all their options, give them the benefit of my advice and then let them make the call. I never talk down to clients and I treat them with courtesy and respect. Finally, as I depend on referrals for new business, I work hard to obtain the best result possible for every one of my clients. I enjoy working with my clients and being an advocate for their interests. And I love the law.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
For contested divorce cases, I charge an hourly rate and for uncontested divorces where all of the issues are agreed upon by the parties I charge a flat fee of $875 plus filing fees. For personal injury cases, I charge a contingency fee. Contingency fees are typically 33% of damages recovered.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I usually first visit with potential clients over the phone to answer any preliminary questions they may have. I offer free consultations and so next I often meet with potential clients in person to talk about how I can help them and answer any questions they may have.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and a Bachelor's degree also from UTSA.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Before I became a lawyer I taught Political Science at the University of Texas and Wayland Baptist University. I still enjoy teaching, but decided to attend law school because I love working in the legal profession and I enjoy advocating and working for my clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have helped clients through divorces, with criminal charges, personal injury cases and professionals in the medical field who have had issues with their licenses. I have worked with people and business from all sorts of backgrounds in Texas and New York as well as other states.
